Abilene Christian University is a nationally recognized, comprehensive university vitally concerned with personal attention and high quality teaching. Founded in 1906, ACU attracts 4,600 students from 50 states and 60 countries. It is affiliated with the Churches of Christ and is governed by its own board of trustees. Its mission is to educate students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. Abilene Christian University is one of the largest private universities in the Southwest. It is located on a beautiful, spacious (208 acre), modern campus 180 miles west of Dallas.
