Campus SummaryTOP

Young Harris College, for over 120 years, has given students with strong academic goals an option that stresses the value of life in its entirety. Founded in 1886 by a circut riding Methodist minister as an educational outlet for mountain youth, Young Harris has become a well respected liberal arts institution.

Located in the northeast corner of Georgia and bordered by the Nantahala and Chattahoochee National Forests, the YHC campus is more than prime real estate. Here you are not lost in the crowd; your talents and abilities are noticed. Students participate in activities that take advantage of our geographic location, such as camping, hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking, as well as traditional college pursuits such as fraternity and sorority involvement, political clubs, religious life, fine arts, athletics, volunteering, and special interest groups.

We believe in educating the whole student - mind, body, and spirit. As as result, YHC graduates are well equipped to handle all aspects of life. Our faculty strive to keep students excited and engaged both inside and outside the classroom. Students are encouraged to get involved on campus and take advantage of all the college has to offer.
