Campus SummaryTOP

Founded in 1935, VFMC is a private, co-ed, two-year transfer college located 15 miles west of Philadelphia on the historic Main Line.

Valley Forge provides students with an educational experience focused on educating the "whole" person with a commitment to five cornerstones: character development, leadership, academic excellence, personal motivation and physical development. The school is home to about 200 students from 27 states and 18 countries. One hallmark of the Forge experience is the diversity of the corps, with approximately 36% minority and 22% foreign students. Success is fostered through small classes with a student-teacher ratio of 12:1, a structured environment and access to a wide array of academic support programs.

Such an intense commitment to transfer education. At Valley Forge, our main priority is helping students successfully transfer to four-year institutions. The entire Class of 2000 was accepted to the four-year institution of their first or second choice.

The opportunity to compete in athletic competition that gets noticed. Valley Forge athletes are routinely recruited by competitive NCAA Division I and II schools.

The campus is rich in history, located amidst 120 acres of rolling countryside and towering oaks, with colonial architecture and red brick walkways. As the world around us evolves, so does our campus, as we add new structures as well as restore old ones to preserve their historical stature. In close proximity to the campus is Valley Forge National Historic Park, Longwood Gardens, the Pocono Mountains, and many neighboring colleges -- some with whom we host socials and dances. With Philadelphia and the Main Line so close, students are also able to explore a world-class music scene, professional sporting events, some of the nation's finest historical museums, one of the nation's largest malls, and much more.

Unique/Special ProgramsTOP

Valley Forge is the only college in the northeastern United States and one of only five colleges in the country offering the Early Commissioning Program. This Army ROTC program results in earning a commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation as a sophomore, well ahead of peers in four-year programs. The program is an intensive and demanding course of study taught by active-duty Army commissionaed and non-commissioned officers. After VFMC, the student is required to go on to finish their bachelor’s degree while serving part-time as an officer in the Army National Guard or Reserves.

An incredible preparation for the service academies. The College has a 99% success rate in assisting students with securing admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, the US Coast Guard Acaedemy and the U.S. Naval Academy.
