Campus SummaryTOP

Daemen College, with its rolling 32-acre suburban campus, is strategically located close to major transportation hubs serving the city of Buffalo, including air and rail in the NY State Thruway. The campus is easily accessible to the historic and scenic regions of the Niagara Frontier, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, provincial Canada, and metropolitan Toronto. The college, originally founded in 1947 as Rosary Hill College, a liberal arts college for women, became co-educational in 1971 and officially changed its name to Daemen College in 1976. Daemen offers baccalaureate degrees in liberal arts disciplines, entry-level professional programs, and advanced master’s-level training in education, business, and allied health fields.

Unique/Special ProgramsTOP

In keeping with its liberal arts tradition, Daemen College requires all students regardless of major to complete a core curriculum in the arts and sciences. The liberal arts core was designed with the conviction that a quality postsecondary education combines “breadth” experienced in the core with “depth” sought in the major. Career preparedness is enhanced in pre-professional majors through internships, field placements, and clinical practice. An active cooperative education program at the college is open to students of all majors to gain vocational experience in their chosen field.
